Xbox One: Microsoft experimenting with new technologies

The new generation of console moved little by little with the Xbox One and the PS4 and therefore thought to future "technologies" that can be deployed on these so-called new generation machines. Phil Spencer, Vice President of Microsoft Game Studios is entrusted on the subject through his Twitter account.

Microsoft is obviously working to experiment with technologies such as Realtime Raytracing (translated in french by "ray-casting" in real time):

  1. @albertpenello @XboxP3 Is it possible that a few years down the line the Cloud could be used for Ray-Tracing !?
@7kayhan @albertpenello We've done experiments with Realtime Raytracing. A ton of potential with this tech, amazing visuals.
have done experiments with real-time ray-casting. Lots of potential with this technology, the pictures are amazing.

This method of rendering CG used in animation cinema will perhaps in a future close directly operated be in the video game. On this generation of machine? After all, why not.

New engines make their appearance upon the realism still further: VIDEO. And if it was the real Visual slap of next-gen?
