  1. Assuming lizard squad is real and not some dude and his friends taking credit for regular network issues how exactly is taking their twitter account going to prevent anything? If they were an actual scene group they would have more than 1 way to talk. They would also have a secret irc channel away from public eyes where real planning takes place. The known channel would be nothing more than puffing out their chests.

    1. The finest squad claimed that they found who they are, where they live, found their phone numbers, and claimed what lizard squad's IP is. If it is true the police force can easily track them down and end the whole thing.

  2. Obvious question. If these guys can do this, why hasn't microsoft or Sony?

    1. Because it's illegal.

    2. They should be able to do anything for the company that they've been growing for so many years instead of letting it happen and also all the money we pay for xbl and psn should be going to security for the servers not new sports cars for sony and Microsoft employees

    3. Unfortunately no amount of money in the world can prevent a ddos from happening forever. It can prevent it but enough of information will break the isps bandwidth to the site causing it to go down.

    4. Sony/Microsoft have no jurisdiction. They can say what they want in their terms of use our whatever, but those see just rolled that YOU have to follow in order to use their services. When it comes to legal stuff, the only people that can deal with it are law enforcement. The companies can launch private investigations, but only if they fully cooperate with the criminal investigation. I could go on, but I think you get it.

    5. If the lizard squad was real then don't you think the authorities would just find out where they live and arrest them
