Germany 's largest video game market in Europe in figures

An increase of 5 % compared to the year 2012 and with its 2.65 billion euros , the German video game market is the largest in Europe and represents a share of 5.5 % of the global market, one of the largest markets in the world, reveals the Game- Bundesverband site.

To 2013 , half of the sales in the country were carried out by the digital ( dematerialized games via browser , mobile , DLC etc) . This is an increase of 25 % compared to the previous year. The largest increase returns by game against the tablet and smartphone with an increase of 64%.
As can be seen in the graph, the console market retail and DLC account for more than a third of income! The PC comes on the heels with 14.3% and interestingly, it is the second-hand market and the import takes third place at 13%.
We often speak of our British neighbors , but it is important to remember that it is Germany which dominates the market in Europe for now. At least in revenue.
