The PS4 and Xbox One will reach 100 million sales by 2020

DFC Intelligence, an analysis firm specializing in the field of digital book via GamesIndustry its first forecasts for the video game market. According to their figures, the PS4 and Xbox One reach 100 million sales by 2020.

According to these analysts, the video game industry will represent 77 billion dollars (56 billion euros) in revenues in 2014. In comparison, the year 2013 is 68 billion dollars (about 49 billion euros).

According to DFC Intelligence analyses, the video game sector revenues should approach the symbolic barrier of the $ 100 billion in 2018 with an estimated 96 billion dollars (70 billion euros). Some analysts after this expansion is explained by the fact that the "core gamer" spend "more than ever".

PS4 and Xbox One: 100 million each

Although the Wii is so far the only console to have past the bar of 100 million units sold on the last generation (Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii), DFC provides that the PS4 and Xbox One will both cross this level by 2020.
