Here's why Titanfall became one excluded Xbox One

While the next title of Respawn Entertainment, I have named Titanfall, should come next March on Microsoft platforms, an insider, and Neogaf user, "famousmortimer", give the reasons which led the title to be exclusive to the Redmond company... and therefore do not arrive on PS4. Explanations.

According this "famousmortimer" Respawn preferred to focus on a single platform Next Gen (note that Respawn is not the Xbox 360 version), because the team in charge of the project was so recent and quite reduced. But that is what led the studio to choose the American firm? The well informed Neogaf user engages:

In 2011 and 2012 Microsoft was selling their vision of the Xbox One behind-the-scenes. At the same time Sony gathered information but without really share. The vast majority of the industry thought that Microsoft would dominate this generation... one year of it.

It should be noted that, at the same time, our contacts with developers were going well in this sense. Microsoft appeared ready, feeling confident with the Xbox 360, which dominated in the United States and had more than Honourable sales in Europe. At the same time the infancy of Sony in trouble financially, was not considered the best on this new-generation.

Famousmortimer concluded his commentary by:

Respawn chose the Xbox One because it seemed to be the best choice. Microsoft was more daring. Sony remained silent. The Xbox 360 dominated the American market and the Western Europe, where the FPS is King. It was a no-brainer.

If it is obviously not official information, the Web seems more logical. Add probably also some money exchanged between EA and Microsoft to secure the excluded, and we shouldn't be far from standing behind the scenes of this decision.

For the record, Titanfall must reach us on 13 March next on One Xbox, Xbox 360 and PC.
