Japanese games, and especially J - RPGS, are for the moment not be over-represented on Xbox One. According to Phil Spencer, this type of game will remain however not to absent subscribers.
On Xbox 360, Microsoft had been putting the pressure on Japanese RPGS in ensuring the presence on its home console titles like Final Fantasy XIII, Lost Odyssey, or Blue Dragon. In some cases, these titles were even exclusive to the Xbox 360. On Xbox One on the other hand, J - RPGS have so far not really had the right to the spotlights.
Asked about it on his personal Twitter account, Phil Spencer, the boss of Microsoft's Xbox division, gave encouraging signs for the owners of Xbox One fond of role-playing games Japanese:

For the moment, the Xbox One can already count on the presence on its catalogue of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III, or from Dark Souls II. It will be interesting to see if Phil Spencer had these two titles in mind when he formulated his response or if there are other games in mind.
