Deals of the day on One Xbox and Xbox 360

Microsoft offers you move today with two promotions of the two best Kinect games. Knowledge, Dance Central Spotlight and Disney Fantasia: the power of the sound. Note that for the latter, it is the 'digital box' which is proposed (which contains three additional packs). As for the Xbox 360, we find for the umpteenth time Resident Evil 4.

Xbox One:

• Dance Central Spotlight - 5 EUR (-50%)
• Disney Fantasia: The power of sound - 26.79 EUR (-33%)

Xbox 360:

• Resident Evil 4    6.59 euros (-67%)

Xbox One: Microsoft not interested in 3D

Gears of War 3 gave the opportunity to the players equipped with 3D screens to play the game in stereoscopic 3D. Obviously interested in this technology, a player asked Phil Spencer if the next Gears of War will also play that way. To believe the response of the head of the Xbox division of Microsoft, the case seems rather bad start for him:

1. Sean @SeanJohn004

@XboxP3 Will the new Gears support 3D like Gears 3 did?

@SeanJohn004 We haven't announced a new Gears but we aren't spending a lot of time focusing on 3D in our first party games right now.

Note that Phil Spencer took the opportunity to remember that Microsoft has so far not officially announced new Gears of War. That said, the fact that Black Tusk, the studio dedicated to everything related to the license Gears of War, is currently working on a new episode of the series is secret.

Indeed, it seems unlikely that the Canadian studio is content to manage servers used by multiplayer modes from previous episodes. This is also the same Phil Spencer, who recently spoke of the "tremendous progress" made by Black Tusk ...

Kim Dotcom saved Xbox from the Lizard Squad attack

All of you who just got your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 for Christmas can now connect to Xbox Live or PSN. The recent DDoS attacks from Lizard Squad have taken the services offline, but have since stopped

Kim Dotcom, a self-proclaimed hacker and internet entrepreneur known for his Mega cloud storage service, offered special vouchers as a peace offering and Lizard Squad happily accepted it. The deal involved an undisclosed amount of lifetime Mega memberships with 500GB of storage. If the attacks on Xbox Live or PSN, for whatever reason, were to resurface, the Mega memberships would be terminated.

Lizard Squad revealed on Twitter that they have stopped the attack and have gone dark as a result. Will they pop back up and attack another service? Who knows, but it is a huge possibility. Xbox Live service status is still limited at the time of this post, but we expect it to be back to normal once the morning hits in the United States. Hopefully gamers can finally enjoy their new Xbox One or PS4 -- thanks to KimDotcom.
